Below you will find a summary of all the modifications that were made to this site during September 2002.
Updates
14 September 2002
A really tasty update for you this time - get the full skinny below. As usual, send you submissions to psmith_101@yahoo.com.
- August Contest Last month, there was contest on the Xtreme Strength mailing list to write the best story or draw the best picture on the theme of supergirls lifting and folding aircraft carriers. At the end of the month, we had a poll and the results were as follows:
Next month's contest is already underway with a theme of supergirls competing in sports. If you want to view the entries before they appear here, contribute or vote you should visit the Xtreme Strength mailing list.
- Girl Of Steel Illustrated A while back I managed to get in touch with Coyote, one of my all-time favourite artists. I asked him if he'd like to illustrate some of my stories and to my neverending amazement he said yes! So far, he's produced two pics for the Girl Of Steel story. I haven't put them in the story yet as these aren't necessarily the final versions and there are more to come, but you can see them as they stand right now below:
I normally try to stay neutral when posting pics and stories, but I have to say that these ones are simply fantastic. Coyote's followed my descriptions really well and has been very tolerant of my constant nit-picking - the results speak for themselves. If you want to talk to Coyote, he can usually be reached on Wreck Shop's message board.
- The Xtreme Strength FTP Server This has been up for some time (as people on the mailing list know) but this is the first time I've announced it here. It's a site full of pics, video clips and stories related to female strength and muscle which was kindly set up by Mr Kreosot. However, it works rather differently to a website so you should click on the link and read the instructions to find out how to access it.
- Other Author's Bookshelf - Titaness by Stoneyman. Professor Laurel Hawks becomes the first test subject for the Titan formula.
- Gallery - Light Curl by Twiich. She smoothly curls a barbell weighing twice as much as she does.
- Gallery - Cool Babe by Damian. Another barbell bites the dust.
- Gallery - Lion Tamer: Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 by Dragone. The lion doesn't stand a chance.
- Links - Ingstrand's Science Fiction Stories Features several beautifully written stories featuring superstrong females by Stefan Ingstrand. The stories are unflinchingly realistic and can be a bit gory at times but they're still well worth reading.
- Links - The Yokashuan Research Institute A frequently updated blog dedicated to superheroines. Includes an excellent selection of links.
