- THE AMPHIBIAN -
Joanna’s neck felt strange to her. At first, she thought it was due to the
concrete floor of the building scraping against it, but that didn’t seem right.
After all, she was now invulnerable and it shouldn’t have affected her.
Invulnerable! What a thought! But wait! If she was invulnerable, why was she
in a panic? Nothing could hurt her! She relaxed and began to breathe. But she
wasn’t breathing air, she was underwater. Instead, she was breathing water,
through gills that now appeared on her neck!
A smile crossed her lips as it sank in. She was now amphibious! Nothing could
stop her! And with that, she held the building up with one hand while she used
her legs to push off to the side. She released the building as she began to
swim away, allowing it to crash back down into the sewage tunnel.
Joanna continued to swim in the sewage tunnel until she saw light streaming down
from above. She swam to the surface and climbed the vertical ladder up to the
source of the light, holes in a manhole cover. Holding on to the ladder with
one hand, she used the other to toss aside the 250 lb plate as if it were a
feather.
The manhole cover exploded from the pavement and sailed high into the air, but
then plummeted back to the Earth, crashing through the roof of a car and totally
destroying the vehicle. Pedestrians began to flock around to see the cause,
when they saw Joanna climbing from the sewage tunnel.
Henry was driving his car down the street when suddenly a woman appeared in
front of him. He had no idea where she came from, she was just there in the
middle of the street! He slammed on his brakes, but it was far too late; he hit
her head on. That was the last thing he ever saw, as his head slammed into and
through his windshield.
The pedestrians saw Joanna climb onto the street. But the manhole cover was in
the middle of a travel lane, and the street was busy. One car hit Joanna head
on, but Joanna did not move! Instead, the car wrapped itself around her, the
driver going through the windshield and instantly dying. Joanna was completely
unfazed; she simply stood there as if nothing had happened, as the trailing cars
plowed into Henry’s car.
Joanna had climbed out of the tunnel and found herself on the street in the
travel lane. A car had immediately hit her, but she had barely felt it. She
kicked the demolished vehicle off her leg, causing the gas tank to explode as
the vehicle sailed backwards. She noticed a crowd of onlookers had gathered and
were pointing at her. One man was particularly loud; she decided to approach
him.
Walking over, Joanna picked the man up by the neck with one hand. “What are you
looking at?” she screamed. The man ineffectually struggled to get free, both of
his hands unable to dislodge Joanna’s slender feminine fingers. Joanna tossed
the man, he sailed across the street and slammed into the fourth floor of a
building, his broken body leaving a trail of blood as he fell to the sidewalk
below.
Joanna heard a sound and looked up as an airplane came in for a landing at the
city airport. Curious, she jumped to the roof of a nearby 30-story building.
“Hmm,” she thought as she watched the plane, “I wonder if I can get the ability
to fly.” And with that, she jumped from the building and began to walk towards
the airport.

Hi Paul,
Here's my contribution to the joint story:
REFERENCE: 11112
TITLE: The Human Crusher
LINK: Joanna picks up the tank.
TEXT: Joanna reaches out and picks up the huge tank. Her muscles
ripple with inhuman strength as she hefts the gargantuan weight
over her beautiful face. Sweat pours of her nubile young body as
her power increases a hundredfold to cope with the 50 tonne mass.
Joanna licks her lips sensually as she slowly begins crushing the
reinforced steel structure with her bare hands...
