What's this "Xtreme Strength" thing all about then?
It's quite simple really. I'm fed up with stories where the authors try to limit themselves to what they consider 'reasonable', or they insist that everything should have a 'plausible' scientific explanation. Instead, I've written my stories without bounds, where the only limit is what my brain can conceive. Hopefully, other authors and artists will follow suit and contribute to the site.
Me? Contribute to the site? You've got to be joking!
Oh well, if that's the way you feel; however, remember that I'm doing all this for free. Also, I've noticed that, despite the fact that the site gets almost a thousand visitors a day, only a few kind souls have yet seen fit to contribute. Don't worry, I enjoy this site far too much to give it up, but it'd be nice to get something back once in a while, even if it's just a short note of appreciation.
I suppose wouldn't mind having a go, but I'm not much of a writer.
Nobody's born a writer - you have to try it first! Why not send in a contribution to the joint story? It doesn't need to be any longer than a few paragraphs, after all. So, what's holding you back?
Well, for starters, I don't want the whole world to know my email address.
I guess that's understandable. If you want, I'll be more than happy to anonymously post your creation on the site.
But that means I won't get any feedback and, as you said, that's what an author thrives on!
Don't worry, I'll forward any feedback I receive on your behalf to your email address, if you want me to.
But I want to keep Xtreme Strength-related email seperate from my other email.
Then why not get a free email account from Yahoo Mail? This has the added advantage that you can check it from anywhere in the world!
Are you going to spend this whole page blatantly promoting Yahoo Mail and whinging about how you don't get enough contributions?
Yeah yeah, point taken.
To be as strong as they are, surely your women would have to be really tall and have muscles the size of planets?
Doh! You're missing the point! Xtreme Strength characters aren't bounded by the normal rules of physics; they can be as strong as you like! Besides, I don't think that being really tall and having muscles the size of planets is very sexy, do you?
What about when your girls lift aircraft carriers above their heads? Surely nobody can do that?
You're totally correct - nobody can do that. But, you see, the women in my stories aren't real, they are pure fiction. And, as any author will tell you, when you're writing you are the master of the universe. If you want a girl to be able to balance an aircraft carrier on the tip of her finger, then you can make it happen. Cool, eh?
But wouldn't the ground underneath her collapse?
It's been reinforced, okay?
I don't think it's possible to reinforce anything so that it can withstand 160,000,000 lb/foot of pressure.
Whatever.
Anyway, didn't you nick that idea from The Aurora Universe?
Ahem. Of course not. Don't be silly.
By the way, why do you keep on using the whole 'aircraft carrier thing' over and over again?
Because it's a cool idea. And aircraft carriers are the heaviest things I can think of. Now go away.
What about planets?
Planets? Don't be ridiculous. What'd she stand-on, for starters?
Didn't you say earlier that anything goes in the world of Xtreme Strength?
Oh yeah, good point. Hmmm... Maybe I'll have a go at that. See, contributing ideas is fun, isn't it?
You what? You mean you just tricked me into contributing an idea?!?
Yep. He he!
You git.
